Our family office is located in Freiburg i.Br., Germany. With more than 30 years experience in building young companies, Equicore today is an active partner of numerous technology companies with a special focus on Life Sciences and MedTech.
We support startups in their early stages and put much value to a sustainable business development. We see ourselves as your holistic partner and offer customized support. Christoph is the founder of Equicore. He has gained broad and diverse experience throughout his career. Though having a legal background, he worked for many years in the banking and finance sector before founding Equicore Beteiligungs GmbH.
It is this broad and diverse experience which make him a well recognized architect for the development of young companies - especially in the field of lifescience and medtech.
Christoph is also founder and member of the board of trustees of the Centre for European Policy (CEP) in Freiburg.

Dr. Florian Ehlers, LL.B.
General Counsel and Business Development
General Counsel and Business Development
Florian is responsible for the operational management of Equicore. He studied law in Hamburg and held various positions at Unilever before joining the family office in 2021. Supported by his legal and HR background, he has built up an expertise in particular regarding complex restructuring projects and improving organisational processes. Florian is deeply involved into the operational work of the portfolio companies of Equicore.
